Uncharted The Lost Legacy Release Date Soon, Says Voice Actress

Voice Actress Claudia Black has posted on Twitter that Naughty Dog might announce a release date for Uncharted The Lost Legacy soon. Black, the voice and model behind Chloe Frazer, hinted that it might be soon if their schedules are in any indication of it.

The voice actress responded to one fan’s musing that the game might not launch any time soon. The fan thought of it because of the video posted by Laurie Bailey, another voice actress who plays the role of Nadine Ross in the previous Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and in the upcoming Uncharted The Lost Legacy.

Bailey posted a short footage of her and Black having fun while recording for the game together with the Creative Director and Writer Shaun Escayg. Naughty Dog announced Uncharted The Lost Legacy at PlayStation Experience 2016 where they previewed nine minutes of its gameplay.

Black only mentioned the possibility of the announcement of the release date and not the game being released soon. Although publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment has not yet provided an initial release date, the game will launch anytime in 2017, according to PSU.

Uncharted The Lost Legacy Might Be the Last One

Naughty Dog has confirmed previously that Uncharted The Lost Legacy will be its last involvement in the series. It might be the reason why developers are making sure that it would be the best expansion in the series.

Despite this, fans have not ruled out the possibility of other game developers working on the game. Sony can still seek out help from other game studios to produce newer games in the series, like how developers 343 Industries and The Coalition took the helm of Halo 5 and Gears of War 4 respectively. The Uncharted series became one of the most successful games from Naughty Dog that Uncharted 4 alone sold over eight million copies worldwide.

Sony launched Uncharted 4 on May 10, 2016 but considering its expansion started an early development, fans can expect it before the year ends. The game will take place 12 months after the events of Nathan Drake’s epic swansong, although it has been confirmed that he would not make an appearance in the expansion.

Another reason why Sony has not yet announce an initial release date might be because of its overall size. According to reports, the game will be larger than The Last of Us Left Behind DLC, but shorter than the main campaign of Unhcharted 4. It will also feature large environments to explore, addition of new melee attacks and grappling hooks, and more.
