Square Enix announced its latest trailer for Final Fantasy 14 Patch 3.5: The Far Edge of Fate. The gaming company also shared other information on the patch in its website.
Based on the website of Square Enix, the story for Final Fantasy 14 Patch 3.5 centers on a time when the Scions of the Seventh Dawn in their quest to combat the different threats and dilemmas that face Eorzea, has defeated the Warriors of Darkness. However, the ranks of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn have been torn apart. They are only being kept together by new and powerful allies. But with the appearance of new allies, new enemies surface from different lands.
Final Fantasy 14 still has a lot in store for the players by venturing back into the battle field to defeat these arising adversaries.
The additions in the game include new locations on boss fights such as the Containment Bay Z1T9 trial. There are also new missions found in the patch. This is inclusive of the Beast Tribe Quests and Side Story Quests just like Further Hildibrand Adventures and Saint Endalim’s Scholasticate.
A new Feast map is included. Square Enix incorporated two new dungeons called Baelsar’s Wall and Sohm Al (Hard) in the patch. The former is a dungeon wherein players can scale toward the Garlean Empire in-game and the latter is a more challenging and difficult type of a pre-existing dungeon. Square Enix also gave a hint on the Main Scenario of the game.
Of course, there are character changes. Characters get an update in terms of their hairstyles and gear such as clothes. mounts and weapons. The game developers added the iconic Final Fantasy 8 Squall costume as well. They have renovated housing in Eorzea and have installed new decorations such as paintings and aquariums.

Final Fantasy 14 Patch 3.5 is the last content addition for PS3 because the support for the PS3 will end in Final Fantasy 14: Stormblood.
Square Enix will release the patch this coming January 17.
