Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura released a holiday message for all the fans. Is the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date finally revealed? See updates and more in the video below.

Tetsuya Nomura’s Message

Nomura revealed that he, together with his team, is hard at work over the holidays. 2017 is the 15th anniversary of the famous franchise, which is why the developers are pressed for time to deliver quality content to the fans. Square Enix is working on a number of projects to commemorate the anniversary, which includes the much-awaited Kingdom Hearts 3.

The game giant will release a massive collection of previous Kingdom Hearts titles on January 24, 2017. Titles included in the collection are Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, Dream Drop Distance, and a new release titled Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage.

Nomura will be making a special appearance in some of the shows, with details to be revealed soon.

Meanwhile, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX will be released for PlayStation 4 on March 28, 2017. This title is a combination of PS4 and PS3 games. It includes remastered graphics, new cutscenes, and a look at the entire franchise. Moreover, Nomura also discussed that Unchained X is breaking new ground. However, the details of the project were not revealed in the message.

Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date

Unfortunately, the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date is still a mystery. Nomura did not reveal new details in his holiday message, which may mean that the release of the much-awaited game is still further down the line.

The director is scheduled to appear at the Monaco Anime Game International Conference (MAGIC) next year. The website did not provide further details but the presence of the Final Fantasy logo suggests that he will be focusing on the Final Fantasy 7 Remake for his appearance in the convention.
