[Watch] Monster Hunter Release Date & News: Lao-Shan Lung Confirmed

As the year 2017 kicked off, there were well-wishers everywhere, but it appears that for gamers, one of the best greetings that they received is from Capcom. The Japanese video game developer hinted something interesting about Monster Hunter XX.

Monster Hunter XX Update

Capcom shared a YouTube video as they welcomed the New Year. It comes with a hint about Lao-Shan Lung who was seen in the one-minute clip, Siliconera reported.

“Happy New Year to you all. It is I, Lao-Shan Lung. It has been a while. I look forward to seeing you again in Monster Hunter XX,” says a message at the end of the video showing the Monster Hunter character.

Lao-Shan Lung is an Elder Dragon who care less about the hunters. In the game, they would merely ignore the hunters as they go to the town fortress. But they would put a lot of effort into breaking the fort.

It is the nature of Lao-Shan Lung to grow its body as it accumulates the particles from the atmosphere. Red tins are from iron while the blue tints are from ash from the Volcanic Belt.

For Monster Hunter players, the game wouldn’t be complete without the Elder Dragon. But after the confirmation of Capcom, many are now anticipating for the game’s arrival.

Monster Hunter XX Release Date

The game is set for release in Japan on March 18 for Nintendo 3DS. According to IGN, said release will include a G-rank difficulty level and a new Airship-based hub village.
