[Watch] New Zelda Breath Of The Wild Trailer Shows Link Guarding Hyrule

Nintendo will release The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild this March 3 as a launch title together with the new and long-awaited Nintendo Switch gaming console. Nintendo announced that the game will be released on the said date just this January 2017. Aside from the Switch, the game can also be played on the Wii U which may mean that the game will be the last first-party game for the console.

Nintendo continuously released trailers for The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild ever since its announcement. The gaming giant had even launched trailers even before the announcement as seen in a trailer released December of last year. Another new trailer has made its rounds on the Internet. It shows Link, the main protagonist of the game, guarding Hyrule, where the story of the game has been set.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Open-world games are famous in the world of gaming. They have gained attention and enthusiasm from players. Skyrim is just one depiction of the genre’s success. The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is now following the footsteps of this particular type of genre. In fact, it is the first ever game from the role-playing game franchise which will be an open-world game.

New Trailer

Nintendo’s Japanese website has shown a trailer of the game which Gematsu posted on YouTube. The trailer shows new gameplay from the said game. The clip is two minutes long, showing a load of action sequences as well as wonderful scenery for the game’s environment, such as the beautifully detailed skies.

The trailer also features sweet moments between Link and Princess Zelda. Aside from their scenes, there are also horrendous moments such as when a monster horde of Guardians attack Hyrule, as described by Hype Beat. Look at what is yet to come with the following trailer called “Guard. In This Destiny” below:

In other news, Link’s trusty steed, Epona may appear in the game. According to Game Informer, Epona may not be available for riding. However, she may appear in some other unexpected way. Series producer Eiji Aonuma even confirmed Epona’s appearance – “I do not want to reveal details about how to find her, or what that means.” In the game, Link will instead find horses in order to tame them, though the stronger creatures will prove to be more difficult to tame.
