Fans of the popular novel and the anime series adaptation of it cannot wait for the Re:Zero Game to be released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Since it would still be a couple of months before the game’s initial launch, here are details on what to expect from it.
An original story will be used for Re:Zero Game
Although the game came from a popular light novel which released its anime adaptation earlier this year, it will take on an original story. It will revolve around Subaru and the candidates of a Beauty Pageant Election. The story will take place before the said election which will have girls compete on elegance, splendor and other beauty queen traits to be the next ruler of Lugnica. The winner will also be rewarded with the Metia. The election prize is said to bring good fortune to its owner.
The main protagonist, Subaru, accidentally kissed the royal treasure while helping prepare for the pageant elections. Because of this, he was cursed to die unless he gets a heartfelt kiss from the opposite gender. In order to lift the curse, Subaru interferes with the tournament to see if he can get the said kiss from any of the candidates.
It would have been an easy task but the character cannot tell anyone about the kiss and the curse. And because of his unfortunate circumstances, he will help one of the contestants to rank first in the popularity polls so the Metia can be owned by its rightful owner and no other people can be accidentally put into the same place as he is.
According to a report by Anime News Network, the game will have eight different endings. It will involve Ram, Rem, Emilia, Beatrice, Priscilla, Felt, Crusch, and Anastasia.
