Why Players Keep Failing Pokemon Sun And Moon Global Challenges

Uh-oh! Having trouble winning global missions in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon lately? It seems this is not the players’ fault because Pokemon Sun and Moon are experiencing a technical issue right now. This hinders the users’ ability to register and log into their Pokemon Trainer Accounts.

Pokemon Sun And Moon Players Failing Global Missions

The developer of Pokemon Sun and Moon made efforts to create global missions in the two titles. Furthermore, this is to encourage players of the role-playing games to work together. First, they launched a global mission to catch 100 million Pokemon in the past. However, many players failed this challenge. Another global mission was held because the users could not capture 1 million Pokemon using the Island Scan feature.

Players failed not one but two of the global missions in Pokemon Sun and Moon. The game may have broken sales records, which signifies that a huge number of people were playing. However, it is curious as to why they are not joining any challenges.

A million trainers wanted to access their accounts to join the global missions. Surprisingly, they claimed that they are unable to register and log into their Pokemon Trainer Accounts. These logins give players access to the Pokemon Global Link and allows players to register their Global Mission progress. It has been reported that the lack of global mission participation may actually be caused by a technical issue.

Where’s The Global Link?

When Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon players tried to register new Pokemon Trainer Accounts, the page would refresh. This disabled access to the Global Link (PGL). In addition, players posting on the game’s subreddit told them that there were two causes: not having a name on the account, and the PGL settings. Even after adding a name to the account and changing the PGL settings to “Nobody” or “Game Friends,” some players claim that they are still unable to create an account.

The technical error may be a pain for the players who are itching to join the missions. The good news is that they are still interested in taking part in the community challenges. Fans are keeping their fingers crossed that The Pokemon Company will find a way to debug the problem, and quickly at that.

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are available now for the Nintendo 2DS and 3DS. Know of players who are accomplishing Sun and Moon global challenges despite this issue? Share their tips below. Stay tuned to Video Games Republic to catch the latest on video games, tech, and more.
