The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is an upcoming action-adventure game by Nintendo specifically for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U. This 19th main series for The Legend of Zelda is set in Hyrule and follows the protagonist Link. The release date for the game is on March 3 worldwide alongside the release on the Nintendo Switch.
The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild now features an open-world environment, voice acting, and playing through dungeons randomly as desired. However, the game retained its original concept of placing the player into the world with few instructions. Players will still control Link. He can climb and jump on surfaces and search for different materials found in the game’s world. After extreme use, weapons break so Link has to scavenge for new ones.
The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild also supports Amiibo figures. These are Nintendo’s wireless communications and storage system of Nintendo Switch-compatible toys-to-life figurines. There is even a surprise at the end of the game. So if players fulfill certain conditions in the game, they will be able to unlock an alternative ending.
Epona To Make Appearance
Epona is Link’s recurring steed in the series of The Legend of Zelda. This trusty companion will be joining Link in the newest Nintendo Switch game. Eiji Aonuma, series producer and manager of The Legend of Zelda confirmed through IGN Portugal as cited in Nintendo Everything, that the horse will have again a role in Breath of the Wild. “As for Epona, she’s in Breath of the Wild, but I do not want to reveal details about how to find her, or what that means,” Aonuma said.
Aside from Epona, players can also find other horses in the game. These different horses can be found and tamed first before players gain their trust. Each has unique stats such as strength, speed, stamina, temperament, and bond. Players can also give them names.
