Zelda Breath Of The Wild Spoilers: Why Link Won’t Speak

Zelda Breath of the Wild is eagerly awaited by fans and enthusiasts of the franchise. It is now confirmed that Link will not speak in the game. Nintendo had confirmed this earlier as well.

Zelda Breath of the Wild fans have been skeptical about the addition of voice acting to this popular series. The addition of voice acting is one aspect that has been widely debated up to now. Some fans feel that such an addition may change the whole flavor of the gaming experience.

However, this new confirmation on Link not speaking in Zelda Breath of the Wild should come as a welcome development for these fans. The series producer Eiji Aonuma and Shigeru Miyamoto both confirm this as well according to Game Rant.

Will Link Speak At All?

Link will not speak out any full sentence in the game according to them. Nintendo’s previous confirmation did not satisfy most fans. This is because they thought the company was attempting to mislead them in order to pave the way for a surprise inclusion of voice acting.

There are several other surprises in store for fans as Aonuma has also confirmed. Even if Link will not speak full sentences, he may shout out any word. He may also say something at any emotional point in the game’s storyline as per speculation.

Aonuma may well be speaking the truth as per one section of fans. Link has never spoken since he came into the series in the 1980s for the NES. However, in case fans respond eagerly to these voice acting tidbits, he may get a full fledged voice in the future.

Tech.Mic also confirms that Link may not speak in the upcoming installment. However, there are some exciting possibilities to watch out for.

Link may undergo rapid changes in future Zelda series games as per experts. There was widespread excitement earlier when many fans thought he was actually a female. There was speculation about players being given the ability to choose Link’s gender as well.

What Fans May Expect

Nintendo may actually allow fans to choose between Linkle, the female counterpart, or Link himself. This will actually be a very exciting feature that will get all fans really excited about the game. The future of the game definitely looks interesting from this perspective.

Nintendo is not averse to taking risks with the gaming franchise. Fans are now speculating that future versions may feature a fully-voiced Link. The game launches on the 3rd of March, 2017 for Wii U and Nintendo Switch.
